The breakfast problem

Your morning runs on a sugar rush. Then it runs out.

Most packaged breakfasts are built to taste exciting, not to last. Here's what a typical sugary-cereal morning looks like.

  1. 7:45 AM

    A bowl of “healthy” cereal.

A bright box, a smiling mascot, and sugar on the back of the pack under three different names. Sweet, quick, gone in four minutes.

  2. 8:15 AM

    The rush.

Refined starch and added sugar reach your bloodstream fast. You feel brilliant. Briefly.

  3. 10:30 AM

    The crash.

Energy drops, focus slips, and you're hungry again with lunch nowhere in sight.

  4. 10:45 AM

    The biscuit loop.

Another quick fix, another spike, another crash. Repeat until dinner. This is the chaos Naani has had enough of.

  5. Enter Naani

    बस! Naani takes over.

Amez balances cereals, pulses, nuts and oilseeds, and is processed the traditional way so its starch digests slowly. Energy that rises gently and stays with you.

Steady energy, naturally

Slow food, in the literal sense.

The secret isn't an additive. It's resistant starch: a kind of starch that digests slowly, so energy is released gradually instead of all at once.

i.

The ICMR balanced plate

Cereals, pulses, nuts and oilseeds in one bowl, following the Indian Council of Medical Research's principle of a balanced meal.

ii.

Traditional processing

Prepared the way Assamese kitchens always have, a method that naturally raises resistant starch and keeps the grains' own flavour and colour.

iii.

Nothing added to hide behind

No added sugar, salt, colours, flavours or preservatives. What's on the front of the pack is what's in the bowl.

  • Plant-based
  • No added sugar
  • Rich in resistant starch
  • Gut-friendly
  • Minimally processed
  • Made in Assam
